Live Jazz at The Cambria

Camberwell's jazz night doesn't announce itself, but The Cambria's Tuesday evenings have earned their space fair and square. Free entry, no pretence, just local UK musicians in a pub bar that actually works for listening. The room's the right size: close enough to catch what's happening, loose enough to nurse a drink and let it happen without effort.

This is the kind of place where a jazz night lasts because it's genuinely good, not because it's been marketed as essential. You show up when you feel like it, or you don't. That's the whole point.
