Contemporary Improvers with Laura Gibson

Laura Gibson teaches contemporary classes Thursday evenings using Release technique, which works with gravity and your body's natural weight rather than against rigid form. You'll build real strength and body awareness through a practice without classical ballet formality.

The Place has hosted this kind of work for decades. A weekly class is an investment: three months in and you move differently. It suits people who want technique without the ego that often comes with dance training. Thursdays, 6:30 to 8pm.
