About NoordOogst
NoordOogst is an urban farming project on the Meteorenweg in Amsterdam-Noord, where a group of small food and nature initiatives share one site. You go to walk through the food forest, let children loose in the natural playground, buy local produce at the Buitenmarkt or join a workshop or tasting.
The people on the land give it its shape. The Stadstuinderij grows vegetables, RAUWR keeps pigs, Friekens Brouwerij brews beer, Tuintje van Adam grows mushrooms, and De Tuin van Eten sells plant-based food to take away. Koffie van Kees, theatre makers Geoliede Chaoten and Amsterdam Farm Lodge are also here, and events take place in and around De Groene Loods.
The natural playground dates from 2018 and is free and open to all visitors during the day, with a water course, a lookout tower and a reed filter. The site's future is under discussion: a December 2025 city plan keeps half the land for six more years and turns the other half over to sports from 2027, while NoordOogst argues for a combined Sport en Voedselpark Noord.
