Cafés and bars built around games

Spelletjescafé 2 Klaveren on De Clercqstraat is a games café by name. Final Touch on the Prinsengracht is a canal house with cupboards full of board games, next to its pool and snooker tables. Café Conrad on Zocherstraat, close to the Vondelpark, is a neighbourhood café on our list for its games.

TonTon Club Westergas on Polonceaukade pairs a large board game collection with arcade cabinets and a kitchen, and says entry and board games are free; arcade tokens cost €1 each, or €5 for six.

Games next to something else

Blast Galaxy on Magneetstraat has a room for trading card and board games, with entry at €15, or €10 for children, and all games included. Plan B on the Overtoom, Mokum Pool & Darts on Nobelweg and Pong on Jan van Galenstraat all keep board games alongside their tables. House of Watt on James Wattstraat lists games from 30 Seconds to Catan. Beest Boulders Het Lab on Transformatorweg has them for after the climbing.

Buying a game

Friends & Foes on Roelof Hartstraat is a game shop, with an online store as well. It is on the list for its selection rather than as somewhere to sit and play, so ask what is on before you go.
