Silence #74: Sara Plusplus

Morning concert with electronic musician and producer Sara Plusplus. About Sara Plusplus Sara Plusplus is an experimental electronic musician and producer. Her work combines trial and error, cut-up techniques and improvisation with pop structures such as melodic hooks and sultry vocals. Her voice moves between speaking and singing, shifting effortlessly between narrative, percussion and melody. Using field recordings, a wide range of samples and electronics, she builds layered soundscapes from textures, loops and fragments, sometimes driven by distinct rhythms and at other times entirely free-form. Her music draws inspiration from a wide range of sources, including ASMR, ambient, minimalism, jazz and film music. Her latest album Late Night TV (2026), released on Rubber, explores themes of hypnagogia and melancholy through phone recordings, synthesizers, samples, jazz influences, spoken word and vocals. The album has been described as both intimate and epic, with a disorienting sense of space, as though you are in two different rooms at the same time.
