RITA Community Center is a queer community house at Reguliersdwarsstraat 54 in the centre of Amsterdam, opened in October 2025. Drop in for a coffee, a haircut, an exhibition or a workshop, or use it as a place to change before a night out. It describes itself as the queer home base of the city. The name stands for report it always. RITA began in 2024 as an online reporting point for discrimination and unsafe situations, set up after a wave of reports about abuse on public transport and in taxis, and the centre keeps that role. Mayor Femke Halsema performed the opening, and the city contributed to the funding. Under one roof there is the WeCare hair salon, a queer shop with goods from local makers, co-working space, an information point and LGBTQ+ care. Evening events range from balls and film screenings to community dinners and a pub quiz, with senior groups and grassroots organisations sharing the room. Queer organisations can also hire it for meetings and courses.
