How the karaoke works
There is one shared system for the whole bar. Each group picks its own songs, those songs go into a general queue, and two microphones travel round the room so everyone gets a turn. You are singing in front of the other tables, so this suits people who enjoy an audience.
If you would rather have a room of your own, the same owners run Ganbei, a karaoke bar with private rooms, and they also list Red8 as a sister location.
Prices and minimum spend
Using the karaoke costs nothing, but there is a minimum spend on drinks. From Sunday to Thursday it is €15 per person for 2.5 hours. On Friday and Saturday it is €18 per person for 2.5 hours.
The menu leans on cocktails at €12 to €14: Sex on the Beach and Dark 'n Stormy at €12, Strawberry Mojito, Amaretto Sour and Watermelon Mai Tai at €12.50, and Espresso Martini, Lychee Martini and Pornstar Martini at €14.
Groups and hire
Birthdays, bachelor parties and company nights are the regular trade here. Groups under 35 can reserve through the booking button on the website. From 35 people the whole bar can be hired, and for that you call or email.
House rules
The minimum age is 18. The menu is drinks only and you cannot bring your own food or drink. For a celebration cake or a private party, call or email first to see what is possible. There is no coat check, so you keep your own things with you through the evening.
Who runs it
24K was founded in 2016 by a family from Asia, who describe it as a place where people come out of their shell and meet others. It opens from 19:30 most nights and from 18:00 on Friday and Saturday.
