Final Touch is a pool and snooker club in an old canal house on the Prinsengracht, with four Riley snooker tables, five Brunswick pool tables, a darts lane and shuffleboard. It is officially a private club, but a day membership comes with the table fee, so anyone can play. Go for proper club tables in the middle of town, with speciality beers and cupboards of board games between frames.

Tables and games
There are four Riley Aristocrat steel-block snooker tables and five Brunswick Gold Crown 9ft pool tables. One snooker table is always kept for challengers, and the winner stays on: come in and say "Challenge". There is a single, well-lit darts lane and shuffleboard, a game the club describes as a cross between sjoelen, boules, bowling and curling. The rest of the house is filled with cupboards of board games and seating areas, so you can stay on without playing. New or rusty players are shown around.
How it works
Final Touch is a besloten vereniging, a private members' association. Membership is compulsory, but day membership is included in the table hire. Regular snooker players can take an additional snooker membership, and there is a house competition as well as the KNBB league. Table prices are not on the website, so ask at the bar or phone.
Reservations are possible but limited. Give the number of people and how long you want to play. Phoning is quickest, and email does not work for the same day.
Groups
Packages are available for up to 40 people and can be booked for one, one and a half or two hours. Each one combines pool tables, shuffleboards and the darts lane. Rates start from €35.50 to €46.50 an hour for 12 to 16 people, and go up to €83.50 an hour for 24 to 30. An extra room for drinks costs €10 more per hour. Packages do not run after 20:00 on Fridays or after 16:00 on Saturdays, and everything goes on one bill at the end.

This is a place to drink, not to eat: speciality beers, coffee and soft drinks, with a limited choice of snacks.
