Bassolino

Born and raised in Naples, Dario Bassolino is a pianist, producer and composer, active in the international electronic jazz scene. He has worked with Nicola Conte, LNDFK, Pellegrino, Nu Genea, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Paolo Fresu and Missey, to name just a few. Bassolino is his latest project, with which he performs internationally alongside renowned musicians from his hometown of Naples. His debut album "Città Futura" (2024) sounds like the soundtrack to an imaginary film: electric pianos effortlessly carrying you along the rocky coastline with sunshine filtered through a 1970s lens, jazzy melodies setting mafiosi on a chase through the winding alleys of the old town, and long-forgotten synth harmonies celebrating the southern Italian summer on a terrace. A groove-filled record, carried by the voices of bustling, lively squares and a sound that reaches for the stars while remaining firmly anchored in a sun-scorched landscape. His forthcoming album, set for release in April 2027, is a delightful mix of Neapolitan cinematic soundtracks, jazz and italo disco.
