Caesar

It was bound to happen eventually - Caesar’s return to the stage. Not because they have to, but because they can. Roald, Sem & Marit are in great shape and better than ever. And they’re raring to go and bring the house down a few more times in the old-school way, starting at Excelsior’s birthday party - to mark the occasion of their debut album ‘Clean’ being released on vinyl for the first time - and the following day with their own show at Tolhuistuin. For the younger viewers amongst us: Caesar were a leading alternative rock trio in the 1990s. They toured all over Europe, including the United Kingdom. Steve Albini, known for his work with Nirvana and the Pixies, recorded an album with them, and tracks such as ‘Before My Head Explodes’ and ‘Situations Complications’ are timeless indie rock classics. An interesting fact: Caesar’s debut album was Excelsior Recordings’ first release in 1996.
