Keizer Culinair Jordaan is a cooking studio on the Elandsstraat in Amsterdam's Jordaan, where groups come to cook a dinner together and then eat it. You go for a company outing, a birthday, or a Sunday masterclass with strangers. A workshop runs for about four hours and starts with drinks, followed by around an hour and a half of cooking and then dinner at the table. Beginners are welcome. Menus include Puur Hollands and Mezze Moments. The 250 square metre studio is bright, with Wi-Fi and a projector, which makes it useful for meetings too. Private groups normally start from about ten people. If you are on your own or a pair, there are open workshops every two weeks on Sundays, taught in English, with recipes in English and Dutch. They follow an Italian Cucina Povera or a French Classique Française theme, and you cook in teams of five or six. There is a second location on the Keizersgracht. A workshop takes about four hours: drinks, around an hour and a half of cooking with the chef, then a long sit-down meal. You book through the form on the site. The Elandsgracht tram stop is five minutes' walk, there is room for bikes, and the nearest car park is Q-Park Europarking, also five minutes away.
