About Panama

Panama is a large club in a monumental former power station on the Oostelijke Handelskade, right by the water in Amsterdam's Eastern Docklands. It is the place for a big Friday or Saturday night out, and its programme is broader than most: techno, trance, urban, hardstyle, amapiano, live music and classic 80s and 90s parties.

Panama describes its main hall as a club room or theatre, and the unusual roof sets the tone. It holds 900 people on the floor and another 150 on the balcony, with three bars and VIP tables. The smaller Studio takes 150 and can open alongside it or run as a separate room.

Panama has been part of the docks since the early 2000s. There are no fixed opening hours, because each event sets its own. Outside club nights the building is hired out for conferences, fashion shows, weddings and meetings.
