Yellow House: Event venue in Houthaven, Amsterdam

Yellow House is a restaurant, club and workspace on the Danzigerbocht in the Houthaven in Amsterdam, in a warm wood-panelled space with a rooftop terrace over the harbour. Go for dinner and a sunset drink upstairs, then stay for DJs and live acts on a big sound system. The kitchen runs a sharing menu with a global slant, plus pizzas, and the bar pours natural wines and cocktails. The rooftop bar and terrace are the draw in summer, while the wood-lined bar and dancefloor take over in the colder months. Club nights and cultural events bring local and international DJs and musicians to an intimate room, and it has served as an Amsterdam Dance Event venue. By day the building works as a workspace, and the whole place can be hired for private and business events. Yellow House has a Safe Space Policy that applies on club nights, and the agenda on its website lists what is on and how to get tickets. Westerpark and the Westergas site are a short walk away if you want to make an evening of it. The main space holds up to 150 people, split over a void and a balcony, and the 180-square-metre rooftop terrace takes 500 standing. There is no parking on site, but Minerva Parking is just behind the building.
