What you can play
The list runs past 100 machines and leans towards classic arcade cabinets: Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man, Galaga, Donkey Kong, Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, Out Run, Chase HQ, NBA Jam, Tekken 3 and an X-Men cabinet for six players. There are rhythm games too, such as Dance Dance Revolution, Taiko no Tatsujin, Sound Voltex and Groove Coaster, plus air hockey, foosball and a Mario Kart theatre for 12 players.
The arcade offers no tickets or prizes. As the team puts it, you win eternal fame with a high score.
Prices and tickets
Entrance is €15 and children aged 2 to 12 pay €10. That covers all arcade and console games for as long as you stay. You can buy at the door during opening hours or book online.
Karaoke is in three Japanese-style rooms, booked for two hours: Kyoto for up to 6 people at €80, Osaka for up to 12 at €140 and Tokyo for up to 25 at €245. Arcade access can be added for €10 per person. The Board Room costs €7.50 for the day with a free soft drink. It is aimed at trading card and board game players (Magic: The Gathering, Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh!), and arcade access is €10 extra.
Food and drink
The menu is Asian street food and bar snacks: loaded fries, gyoza, spring rolls, Van Dobben bitterballen, a hot dog and a chicken strip burger. There is a house pilsner called Beta Pilsner, plus cocktails and gin and tonics with game-themed names. You cannot bring your own food or drink, with the exception of birthday cakes.
Kids, groups and hire
There is no age limit, and children's parties happen during normal opening hours. Staff only ask that children treat the machines with respect and keep the running and shouting down. Groups can walk in, though a heads-up is appreciated from about 20 people. On Monday and Tuesday the arcade is closed to the public and can be hired by groups, companies and film crews.
