Best art galleries in London

London is one of the great art cities, and its galleries never stand still. Openings, late nights, artist talks and new commissions roll through spaces large and small, from established institutions to project rooms that turn over a show every few weeks. The galleries that stay in the conversation are the ones with a steady stream of events to walk into.

The galleries below are ordered by how active they are, counted from the art events each has coming up. It is a measure of activity rather than a curator's ranking, so the spaces near the top are simply the ones putting on the most that you can visit in person.
