Gather Glass is a glassblowing studio in Woolwich. You come in and make things yourself. Heat the glass, blow it, shape it into whatever you want. A drinking glass, a bauble, a vase, a gift. You learn as you go, and what you make is yours to take home. There's a real directness to it. It's not passive observation. Woolwich has been filling with creative spaces over recent years. Small studios and maker spaces tucked into what was always industrial ground. You come for the hands-on experience of making something. You leave with something useful and beautiful that you actually made. That's what matters.
