£5 to £8

Havering Museum draws people who want local history that gets overlooked. You'll find talks and sessions on Purfleet's past, WWII in the area, what Christmas used to mean here. The venue hosts reminiscence gatherings regularly, bringing back visitors with actual memories tied to Havering. The crowd's a mix: locals with family roots, people interested in specifics not broad strokes, neighbours curious about their own area's story. Nothing's designed to impress. Direct and detailed. You end up learning things you wouldn't have thought to search for. It's not obvious, but it's worth looking for.
