The Golden Eagle is a tiny Victorian corner pub on Marylebone Lane. Friday nights, it becomes a sing-along - a pianist running it from 8:30 to 11, free entry, no auditions, just people in a small room who want to be there. You sing or you listen. Most nights both happen.
It works when the crowd's right, which is the whole thing. When it clicks, you're in a room of strangers halfway through a chorus. That kind of unpolished London moment, the sort that's become rare. No one's trying. Everyone's just there.
