Garage Noord is a nightclub and restaurant in an old car repair shop on the Gedempt Hamerkanaal in Amsterdam-Noord. Go for a night of progressive, wide-ranging club programming, with a Sichuan dinner beforehand. The club has two rooms, the main floor and the smaller bar40, and the programme is deliberately as diverse as possible. It opens on Fridays and Saturdays from 23:30, and on other nights only when the club programme says so. The aim is a club for everyone, and guests are asked to read the house rules and guidelines before coming. There is an email address for reporting anything unpleasant, which two staff members monitor. Only the ground floor is wheelchair accessible. Daan Alvering and Rachella Groon opened Garage Noord in 2017, next to Skatecafe. The kitchen now sits in a new greenhouse in front of the club, where Sichuan Territory serves Chinese barbecue, stir fries, cocktails and wine as a sister location of the Sichuan restaurant in the Red Light District.
