What is here
The table is one of a row of small public sports spots in the park. Around it are boules, basketball and chess pitches, a fitness station and a playground, with the Noorderparkbad swimming pool nearby. That makes it an easy stop if you are out with a mixed group and not everyone wants to play.
How it works
This is a mapped public pitch in a city park, with no operator, no booking system and no opening hours of its own. No source mentions bats or balls for hire on site, so plan to take your own. It is out in the open, so the weather decides whether a game makes sense.
The Noorderpark
The park was formed in 2014 by merging the Florapark and the Volewijkspark on either side of the Noordhollandsch Kanaal, with a design by West 8 that uses an ivy motif. The Eva Schalkbrug has linked the two halves for walkers and cyclists since 2017. The Noorderparkbad is in the western part.
Amsterdam's tourist board lists pavilions in the park, among them The Yellow Pump, the Pink Tanker, the Noorderpark Kamer and the Noorderpark Bar, for when you want a drink after your game.
Getting there
Noorderpark metro station, on line 52, is at the junction of the Nieuwe Leeuwarderweg and the Johan van Hasseltweg, at the edge of the park. The tourist board gives Nieuwe Leeuwarderweg, 1022 BN, as the park's address.
