OpenStreetMap marks one table tennis table in the park. We found no booking system or bat hire, so bring your own bats and ball. We could not confirm whether a net is fitted, and the table stands outdoors, so the weather decides when you can play.

The park

The Wachterliedplantsoen dates from the early 1950s and lies between the Egidiusstraat, Reinaert de Vosstraat, Heer Halewijnstraat and Erasmusgracht. It was renovated in 2010 as a so-called volcano landscape with hills. Elsewhere in the park are the Wachterliedpaviljoen, a children's farm, a playground and small sports pitches.

The name dates from 26 July 1939 and refers to medieval watchman's songs. A footbridge leads into the Erasmuspark.

Getting there

The bus stop Egidiusstraat is a short walk from the park. A footbridge across the Erasmusgracht links the park with the Erasmuspark.
