Wandsworth Run Club

Thursday and Sunday runs with Wandsworth Run Club are a solid excuse to get out twice a week, but the real appeal is the finish line. You run from Sambrook's Brewery Tap, and you run back to it, meaning a cold beer the moment you cross the threshold is non-negotiable.

The crowd's inclusive and social, so it's not a pace-chase. You'll find locals who've been running together for months and newcomers on their first Thursday. The brewery taproom works as a meeting point and a reward in one, which is how these things tend to stick.

It's the kind of London fixture that works because it solves something small but real: a reason to run twice a week, the company to make it less grim, and somewhere proper to land afterwards.
