Van der Pekmarkt

Wed, Fri, SatTemporarily on the MosveldNoord

This is the market of Noord, and it has moved a couple of times. For about fifty years it stood on the Mosveld as the Mosveldmarkt. In 2014 it moved to the Van der Pekstraat and took the name it has now. Today it is temporarily back on the Mosveld, and I amsterdam expects it to stay there until April 2027. So go to the Mosveld, not the street the market is named after. I amsterdam describes it as a mix of contemporary and familiar, for bargain hunters and people who like their food.

When to go

The market trades on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. We leave the hours out because the sources differ: I amsterdam says 9am to 6pm and the city's market data says 9am to 4.30pm. Plan for the morning or early afternoon and you are covered by both.

What's on the stalls

The city's market data lists general goods on all three days, an organic farmers' section on Friday and art, antiques and curiosities on Saturday. That data dates from 2022, so the mix may have changed. I amsterdam does not list specific products.
