Thuishaven: Event venue in Sloterdijk, Amsterdam

Thuishaven is a festival site on the Contactweg in Westpoort, between cranes and old industrial tracks at the western edge of Amsterdam. It runs day and night dance events all year, with house, techno, trance and hard house across several indoor and outdoor areas. The site has five areas: the Mainstage, an open-air floor with a large bar and rusted sheet-pile walls; the yellow and red Circustent, entered through an old sea container, with a huge disco ball inside; the industrial Loods with a dancefloor and lounge; the Barhuis between them; and the Stiercontainer, guarded by a bull that sometimes breathes fire. It began as an outdoor festival more than a decade ago and now holds up to 3,000 people. Companies also hire it for parties and conferences through Thuishaven B2B. There are no regular opening hours, because Thuishaven opens per event: day shows and night shows have their own doors, and your ticket says which applies. It is strictly 18+ with valid ID, and once you leave the site you cannot come back in. Tickets are sealed: you can download them 48 hours before the event, and resale runs through Ticketswap. Metro stop Isolatorweg and bus stop Contactweg are five minutes' walk away, and bike racks are close to the entrance.
