Escape rooms

Steampunk Adventure sends you to test a time machine and strands you in a Victorian world of steam and Tesla experiments. Judgment Day is set in 2029 in a disused military bunker, in the fight against the machines. The Curse is about a sinister house in Amsterdam and is the only one with a higher age limit, 14+. All three take 2 to 7 players for 75 minutes. Back to USSR, about the strange Soviet scientist Dr Korobeynikov, takes 2 to 6 players for 60 minutes.

The club advises no more than 5 players per game, because above that the flow suffers and rooms feel crowded. Bigger groups can split up, with up to 5 scenarios booked at once.

Sector and VR

Sector is not an escape room. It is a 60-minute action game for 2 to 4 players over 200 square metres and six rooms, in which you dodge lava, defuse bombs and stop a flood to earn points against other teams.

The two VR games last 45 minutes, with free-roam play and full-body tracking. Zombie Warriors is a co-op shooter for 2 or 3 players. Shmooter is a cyberpunk death match for 2 players, with teleports and lifts between towers.

Prices

Prices are per person and depend on the game, the team size and the day. Steampunk costs €50 for a team of 2 down to €30 for 6 or 7 from Monday to Thursday, and €55 down to €33 from Friday to Sunday. Judgment Day and The Curse run from €45 down to €28, or €50 down to €30. Back to USSR is €35 down to €26, or €40 down to €28.

Sector is €30 per person from Monday to Thursday and €33 from Friday to Sunday. The VR games are €33 and €37.

Before you go

Arrive 15 minutes before your game for the briefing and to lock away your things. If you are late, your time in the room can be cut. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, because you may need to crawl, jump or climb, and for VR it helps to bring a spare T-shirt.

The recommended minimum age is 14, and under-14s need an adult with them. Most games allow 12+, and VR is not usually recommended under 12. Tell staff first if you are pregnant or have epilepsy, panic attacks or claustrophobia, as some games use flashing lights or smoke. Nobody visibly drunk is allowed to play. You can book online, at reception or by phone.

Getting there

The club is in the centre, 5 minutes on foot from Leidseplein, Museumplein and the Rijksmuseum. Drivers usually find parking on this part of the Weteringschans or in the side streets, and there is a charging point for electric cars outside the door.
