Questomatica: Escape Rooms in Nieuwmarkt, Amsterdam

The rooms

Arcade Invasion takes you into the world of 1990s arcade games, with sensor-driven puzzles and no number locks. It took 15 months to build. Questomatica calls it the more challenging room and also the most family-friendly one, and it works best with at least three players. A bonus task is hidden for quick teams. It runs in nine languages.

Wake Up! is set in a dream world, is available in 14 languages and works well as a first escape room. It has a few low-light moments. Both rooms take 2 to 6 players aged 8 and up, and both are free of horror.

Prices and booking

Arcade Invasion costs €31 to €65 per person and Wake Up! €30 to €60, with the rate depending on your group size. One child under 12 plays free in a team, so reserve one person fewer. Games take 60 minutes, and with the introduction and debrief you should allow up to 90 minutes. You pay in full in advance. Changes and cancellations must be made at least 72 hours before your game, and after that there is no refund. Arrive no more than 10 minutes early. Gift cards are available.

Families and groups

Children from age 8 can play, as long as there is an adult in the team. For bigger groups, the two rooms can run at the same time. There is a group booking for 7 to 12 people, and company teams of 4 to 24 can play side by side. Questomatica is open every day from 10:00 to 22:30, and you need a reservation.
