Museum Market

One Sunday a monthFree entryArt and designMuseumplein

One Sunday a month the Museumplein, the lawn between the Rijksmuseum and the Concertgebouw, gets a row of stalls. Museum Market is an art and design market where the goods are made or collected by the people selling them: art, fashion and accessories, things for the home, paper and craft goods, jewellery, objects and children's toys. There is food and drink as well. Entry is free. The Sunday Market organisation lists it among its regular locations.

When to go

The market runs from 10am to 6pm. I amsterdam describes it as the third Sunday of the month, but the dates do move: the market's own calendar for the rest of 2026 lists 15 November and 13 December. In October it moved because of the marathon. Check the calendar on the market's site before you plan around it.

Good to know

Entry is free, and you pay per stall. The market is outdoors. The Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk are all on the same square, but they sell their own tickets and are not part of the market.
