About Kashmir Lounge

Kashmir Lounge is a DJ café and coffeeshop on the Jan Pieter Heijestraat in Amsterdam Oud-West, open since December 1997. You go for resident DJs, a seat on the terrace and a designated smoking area.

Rene Wouda opened it on 6 December 1997, and DJ Mag ranked it first among Amsterdam's DJ cafés in 2012. Residents include Daddy Mistic, Gripper and 4 Way, and sets go up on Mixcloud afterwards. The room has also been used as a location for films and music videos.

The menu covers juices, coffee, beers, spirits and cocktails, with snacks and finger food. Tram 17 stops at J.P. Heijestraat, a short walk from the door.
