SISSI'S Amsterdam: Club in De Schinkel
SISSI'S is a restaurant and club in a former factory hall on the Anthony Fokkerweg in the De Schinkel industrial area of Amsterdam-Zuid. It only opens on Fridays and Saturdays, and the idea is that one evening runs straight from dinner to the dance floor without you having to change location. Resident chef Joaquin cooks seasonal dishes for sharing, drawing on Southern Europe, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean. After the tables are cleared the club takes over: three rooms, a bruine kroeg, a shots bar, a karaoke bar and an outdoor area. Dinner guests who head to the club before 22:00 go in free. In warm weather there is also Sunny Side, a terrace with a sundeck, a radio station, pizza and DJs, from which you can walk straight into the club after dark. Sunny Side Radio goes out live from the terrace on Saturdays with Killa Cutz Records. The kitchen takes card payment only, and the venue has a zero tolerance policy on drugs.
