Southend Comedy Club: Comedy club in Stadionbuurt, Amsterdam
Southend Comedy Club is the second home of Comedy Café Amsterdam, a stand-up venue at IJsbaanpad 45 near the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam-Zuid. Go for a night of live comedy in Dutch or English, in a room that is larger than the company's original city-centre location on the IJdok. The formula follows the one Comedy Café built over years in the centre: a mix of established names and new talent, hosts who add their own touch, and line-ups that run from quick one-liners to personal stories. Shows run in either Dutch or English, so check the language before you book. There is a bar where you can sit before and after the show. Tickets are sold per show through the Comedy Café website, and there are no fixed opening hours, because the doors follow the programme. Metro 50 and 51 stop at Amstelveenseweg, a walk of 8 to 10 minutes past the stadium.
